Govt. Brijindra College is a premier educational institution of the Malwa region in Punjab. In pursuance of the wisdom that excellence is a journey not a destination, Govt Brijindra College embarks upon the endeavor of seeking NAAC accreditation. Founded in the memory of His Highness Maharaja Brij Inder Singh of Faridkot, the college started its voyage in 1942. Affiliation was extended to college by Panjab University in 1948, and subsequently by Punjabi University , Patiala in 1966. Since its inception, the college has prioritized the pursuit of knowledge, which is never confined to textual pedantry. Our Progressive, humanistic and visionary culture has evolved out of the institutionalization of best academic practices. The college has been widely recognized as a model institution for the inter weaving of liberal education and scientific knowledge with practical wisdom, yielding progressive impact on academic and social affairs. The faculty members of college have a history of being intellectually diverse and enterprising. A deep commitment to academic freedom is our hallmark, which is essential for creativity and innovation.
Situated in the lap of Faridkot town, which has derived its name from the 12th century Sufi saint Baba Farid, the college is spread across 35 acres of prime land. The campus is proud of its rich infrastructure comprising teaching and administrative blocks, state of the art multipurpose halls, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, boys hostel and lush green landscaped lawns which makes the college an educational paradise. College is proud to have a well stocked library with a plethora of books, magazines and journals. The library database can be accessed through open access catalogue on computers. The library has an e-learning section having an easy access to e-literature. Some of our outstanding students have joined IITs , AIIMS, AFMC and advanced institutes of national and international repute.
ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਿੰਦਰ ਕਾਲਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਵਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਹੈ. ਬੁੱਧੀਜੀਵਤਾ ਦੀ ਤਰਤੀਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿ ਉੱਤਮਤਾ ਇੱਕ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਹੈ, ਇੱਕ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜੰਦਰਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਐਨਏਏਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣਿਤ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਪਾਇਆ. ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਇੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਇਹ ਕਾਲਜ 1942 ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ. 1948 ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ 1966 ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ. ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਪਾਠ ਦੇ ਪੈਡੈਂਟਰੀ ਤੱਕ ਸੀਮਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸਾਡੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀਸ਼ੀਲ, ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾਵਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਰ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਵਾਦ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਅਭਿਆਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਥਾਪਕਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੈ. ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਕ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀਸ਼ੀਲ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ, ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਵਹਾਰਕ ਵਿਵਹਾਰ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਮਾਡਲ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਤੌਰ' ਤੇ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ. ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਬੁੱਧੀਜੀਵਕ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਦਮੀ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ. ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਸਾਡੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ.
